I let them drain for a couple of months and take them to the recycling drop off in the city when I’m passing thru.
It depends on the municipalityI was always told coolant can safely be disposed in the sink drain.
I do this with my fire pit. Screen underneath it, They burn great in the rain too. In the summer they keep the gnats and mosquitos away.If you have a burn pile , throw it in . After a few bonfires , pick out the carcass and throw it in the trash .
I take mine to Autozone.Good Morning BITOGERS. I take my old oil filters to my work and use our OTC brand filter crusher. Safety Kleen pays us whatever by weight for all old oil, trans, etc filters. My stepdad, brother throw them into trash
Any of you folks crush them or do you take them to a recycling facility? Back home my real dad burns them out when clearing brush, trees etc. great fire starters
Not in Onondaga County. Which is pretty central New York. They are supposed to be recycled. My wife drops them at Wegmans. We put them in the trash here in central NY
Guess I’m responding… they go to the local Walmart with used oil or Firestone if I have other fluids for recycling.Drain the well in my oil holder for a good week. Then put them in the recycle container.
Same.Drain it, wrap it in a plastic grocery bag, and put it in the trash.
That's the only game in town around here. No provisions or options for recycling them in my area.
