Is an oil filter bypass valve PSI rating mean it hangs in longer filtering oil before going into bypass unfiltered oil? Appreciate it.

the pressure rating in PSI is differential pressure from the filtered vs un-filtered side. this number is not tied to your actual oil pressure rather the restriction to flow in the oil filter. colder oil/dirtier filter with high flow rate (high RPM) will lead to higher dP in the filter.

Trying to find some alternative oil filters for running HPL above OEM 6,000 miles and coming up with this.

Believe black OEM filter is around 12psi with White SRT around 16psi. Baldwin has one with a 20 psi and Carquest Premium lists 10-16psi? Confused on which one to run that is most likely safe to 10,000 mile oil change intervals if I so desire. Appreciate the info all.
