Hey fellas,
I currently own 2007 Suzuki SV650 track bike (bought in July) and 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT that I bought brand new back in 2020, and started to take both of them to track this year. I've had 5 track days under my belt so far.
I'm currently mid-pack A group with the SV, and usually take the Tracer for morning sessions (when it's colder), or last sessions, or sometimes troll newbies with big ego. I usually go for the B group if I'm taking the Tracer as I do not want to cause traffic in advanced group.
I've been using Liqui Moly 4T 10w40 on both bikes, not sure if it's good enough for track, price is good though for full synthetic oil. Should I switch to something more robust or continue as is?
Also, how often would you recommend changing it, regardless of the mileage? Every 4-5 track days?
I will eventually sell the Tracer as I rarely ride on the road and have access to manufacturers' media fleets as a reviewer to ride on the road, but will continue to take it to track until it's sold. Hoping to get a GSX-R 750 or something like Daytona 675 once it's sold and have two track-only bikes. Planning to keep the SV as a spare bike or for smaller tracks.
Here are some pictures from this season:
Let me know your thoughts - thanks in advance!
