OEM Genuine Toyota motor oil is made by Mobil (according to Lake Speed Jr). At least for Toyota oil sold in USA. It might differ elsewhere in the world. As far as I know, all Toyota oil is synthetic oil. It's Mobil 1 oil in a Toyota bottle. You can buy the same oil for less money by buying Mobil 1 from Walmart.
Hey, Toyota TGMO 0-20 is blended by Mobil, but is not the same as Mobil1 0w-20. If you look at the Virgin oil analysis or even the UOA forums here you will see what I mean. They are not the same. The Toyota uses a different kind of Moly.

OK. Similar oil made by same company. Different doesn't automatically mean better or worse. It just means a different approach was used to accomplish the same or similar goals. I wouldn't assume one is better than the other for use in a Toyota, unless UOAs prove it. If UOAs prove one is better than the other, then that is valid and relevant and would be helpful to know about.
