This is BITOG. I would bet this has happened at least once, if not more times than any of us could imagine.
AND, if the car was under warranty with a powertrain warranty that REQUIRED this interval of time, then I can see this happening.
Proof that the change was done, regardless of the mileage.
Why fight the dealership over a potential engine issue related to oil (Hyundai, Kia, etc), when you can have proof it was done.
I have a vehicle with a lifetime powertrain warranty, and the dealership tried to void the warranty by demanding I show oil change receipts. I had them look through their records (all done on time and under the correct mileage interval) - then they got quiet and went ahead with the work.
Anyway, funny meme but relevant in some cases.
