As for which lab... What I recommend is to find one that suites you and then stick with it.
The big thing and with a PSD, you should get one that supplies tbn(usually and extra charge).
If no tbn, the You need to make sure that oxidation,nitration,soot level,sulfur levels are all covered.
Once you found one, then do a trend analysis as this is what will help you see in consistent manner what is out of place. Changing from one to another means different equipment and such is used and those calibrations can result in different results.
If you get a chance, Plug in the numbers on a thread so we can all look at them. I find it interesting to see how each hold up under the different conditions, especially once a trend is started.
