Haha, no. I did find it rather funny.

I find it interesting that the steel failed due to cyclic fatigue. Being a complete nerd, I'll calculate the stresses involved and determine just where on the S-N curve (fatigue life) this crummy steel sits. While the part looks small in the pic, it's rather robust and should never have failed, ever.

There have been people impaled...i think it's less explosion than the seat base fatigue failing and the base and occupant dropping onto the ram
