Hey guys, I know I've likely been annoying lately with my questions, but I have been getting rec's for PG filters.

Car 1 : 2002 Trans-Am LS1
Currently use Supercar 0W40 and PF46E filter
OCI once a season in fall before storage ~ 5-6000 KM

Car 2 : 2017 Honda Civic 1.5T 6 Speed
Currently use Mobil 1 ESP 0W30 and OEM A02 Filter
OCI : 50% on the maint. minder - 6-7000 KM

Would these filters be a better choice?

Trans Am :
NGF 1042

I've been watching videos and I bought my first premium guard yesterday. I watched a video of a Honda oil filter cut open and it looked like a fram orange can inside. Not sure if they all are like that but I'd rather not use that.

If you feel inclined to go down the rabbit hole, check out the Honda Oil Filter thread. Spoiler: most halfway decent aftermarket filters are better than the Honda brand -A02 oil filters. Personally, I'm using Pentius PLXL7317 in my Civic. They are a quality filter and, as a bonus, cheaper than most.

I see you are from Ont.
do you have a part source store near you ? I believe that the OE filter they sell is a PG filter or it was at one time.
Also Canadian tire has a OE labeled filter but I do not think it's a PG filter .
I think CT and part source are affiliated but use different suppliers for some products as the filters in question are not quite the same.

Are the new Mobil 1 Filters similarly branded?

Mobil 1 are sometimes old stock U.S. made and sometimes the current Asian made version when you order online fwir. If you can go in a store and check it out for an Asian country on the sticker of the filter then that is the better model IMO.

You are in Canada so I would also recommend this full synthetic as one of the best for $11 USD. Not Premium Guard but it's made by QAP filter in China which owns GK Industries in Canada who distributes it and they make nice filters as you can see below. They have a similar build to Premium Guard factories and actually maybe a little better.

It may be a well made filter but it has no efficiency specs, I emailed GK and got no response, for an Asian made filter easily sourced in Canada, 99% @ 25 microns, I would look at Partsources OE Pro, about $10 cdn.
