Are octane boosters danegerous to engines in any way?

I want to see if my knock sensored engine with 10.5 to 1 compression can take advantage of higher octane. Apparently there is no easy source for octane higher than 93 in my area.

Also which brand seems to work the best? TIA

I can't see any reason why they would be dangerous.

I use to run "104 racing" brand octane boost in my 69 Corvette. it is/was in the black bottle. I have also used Klotz, Moroso, and Berryman brand boosters in my motorcycle. No problems.

Thanks, I meant dangerous to the vehicle. Also which brands of octane booster have MMT? I want to avoid them.

As this car is a 95 BMW with a cat and ox sensors and designed for unleaded fuel I woul dassume it would have different issues with octane than the 69 Corvette that Loobed mentioned.
