I always change the oil on my wife's 2007 Jeep Compass at the 3000 mile mark because of how little she drives. Usually this is about 6 months. Recently she took a trip to go visit her mother. 2100 miles round trip. Do you think I could stretch the mileage out a little farther this time because she accumulated so many miles during the trip. I changed the oil right before she left. It has the 2.4 with 94,000 miles and I've been using Maxlife semi synthetic 5w-20 with a pure one filter.

Change it at 6 months regardless. Always better to be safe rather than sorry. Two changes a year won't break the bank either, it's still economical.
