I recently purchased this OBD2 Bluetooth adapter:

http://www.amazon.com/Soliport-Bluetooth...8117&sr=1-1

It seems to be working fine so now I need the other puzzle piece -- a good real-time OBD2 monitoring application.

Any BITOGers have an app they have used the recommend for this purpose? I'm open to anything that will run on Windows, Linux or Android.

I've read some good things about an Android app called Torque -- what do you folks think?

I have tried using Torque on Android with one of those bluetooth adapters, but the stats were very limited, at least for my car (530i). Whatever it displays I can already get through my car's on-board computer. Reading of other parameters would require knowing their corresponding PIDs. I've asked around on various forums, but did not get anywhere with it.

I got Torque just to have an easy code reader to use with a cheap OBDII adapter on my G37 - works just fine with my Galaxy S2 phone. It pulls almost as many stats as my beloved old LS1M did on my 3800s, only lacking the awesome misfire per cylinder that I've noted so far, so I'm pleased, especially for the price of admission. I haven't tried it on the truck or my mom's Kia, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't work just as well.
