Two of us performed a side-by-side comparison on (2) vehicles between NuFinish and Kit Scratch Out.

We both kept our favorite to ourselves until we were done with the inspection.

One was a Green '98 Monte Carlo, the other a Black 2003 GMC Sierra.

We used sunlight reflections and a high intensity light to compare the results.

I applied them with equal pressure and equal amount of swirls. I also left a small gap between the two with neither treatment to get a quality analysis.

Both vehicles had haze, fine and medium scratches.

Below are the results:

NuFinish:

It removed most of the haze and a moderate amount of the very fine scratches. It did leave more of the haze that I thought and heard it would. The shine it left behind was also moderate.

We were honestly disappointed with the inspection results of the NuFinish.

I would rate it "fair".

Kit Scratch Out:

Kit took most and almost all of the haze out of both vehicles The shine was more wet looking than the NuFinish. On the Black, it was a "deeper" black and we were both pleased. On the scratches, it removed a moderate amount of them and upon both of us inspecting, we both agreed Kit took out more scratches than the NuFinish.

Final results: Kit Scratch out won easily.

Jimmy,

I don't have that bottle with me, the other person has it, but is should've been the scratch version.

First we did about 2' areas next to each other with a strip about 4" wide with nothing. We followed that up with larger areas on panels.

The Kit came off real easy also.
