XB-stretch limo, perhaps?

That prototype relates to NY taxi cab owners association (or some other name to a similar effect) to build their own taxis. There were such pre-requisities like quarter panels and doors interchangable cross-wise, front/rear bumpers replacable universally. Should receive wheelchairs and to comply with the legislations for door openings. These has to be realised with a given RWD chasis. That's why it is bound to look utilitarian like a school bus. Project was ongoing.

May be they won't succeed, I hope they will, their dreams are big. It's not a car-styling project that intended strictly for commercial sale ( and this should give the hint for resemblance with Eastern Eu aesthetics )

It looks like a Junior High School project made out of oversized Legos.

Please stop saying it looks Eastern European. Nothing that ugly has come out of Eastern Europe in years, if it ever did.

Designed around an engine nearing the end of it's production life...brilliant.

Try importing of setting up US production for a real taxi.

Reminds me of the "Johnny Cab" in that Schwarzenegger movie when he goes to Mars. Can't recall the name of the movie, oh yeah, ironically "Total Recall"

Funny, when I found images of that Cab, it looks nothing like this, so perhaps I'm thinking of another movie cab.

However, it looks like it could be a prop for a sci-fi movie.

If it was a new model Toyota or Honda some of you guys would be all giddy over it.

fifth element?

I was thinking 5th Element, but those cabs flew, so maybe a hybrid between 5th Element and Total Recall.

It just looks like a sci-fi movie prop to me.
