NOS Fram PH8 filter from 1962 on Ebay

Here is an interesting item:

It is a FRAM PH8 filter from 1962 (even before they became the PH8A). The base plate looks more like a Wix than the current day PH8A and the gasket looks more like the o-ring style gaskets often seen on current filters for Asian makes. I wonder what the element looks like?

If I picked this up, I'd feel bad about cutting it open because it is so old...
 
Hey it fits an Edsel! There's one of those parked over @ the local auto college. ( also, the local Ford engine plant, was originally built to make the Edsel's engine. )

I see it's sold. Wow, lots of rust on the base plate and inside the center tube.
