Just cleaned the TB on my 2004 Suburban 5.3L. With the key in the ON position, but engine not running, I had my daughter hold down the accelerator while I sprayed/wiped the TB (while still on the manifold obviously) with 3M TB cleaner. Anyway, of course her foot slipped off the pedal and the butterfly closed on my fingers/rag. After that, the pedal would no longer hold the butterfly open. Started it up and ran poorly, with REDUCED ENGINE POWER on the DIC. Afterward I disconnected the neg. battery terminal for 15 min, and will take it for a drive later to hopefully allow the computer relearn TB position. Possible issues???? Thanks in advance.

Ouch!

OK, the truck is running great now - even better since the TB cleaning. Also changed the oil (I think I'm really gonna like the MLNG + P1 combo). Took awhile for the HVAC to reset after battery hookup though, it had defaulted to hot on the driver's side of the dual system. However, I did lose my coolant temp gauge now, it just lays there on the left side. A casualty of the battery disconnect? Thanks for the quick replies on my initial post guys, helped keep me off the ledge...
