Non detergent oil for air compressors?

I have two compressors, a 60 gallon Kobalt, and an old 15 gallon Craftsman. On straight 30 grade the Craftsman would throw the circuit breaker in extreme winter cold conditions. I changed the oil out to the Husky Synthetic blend and eliminated that issue. The Kobalt is running on Royal Purple synthetic, and I won't be changing it anytime soon.
