Non Chrysler 6395 oil-any damage?

I'm using a non Chrysler MS 6395 oil in my Hemi but the correct weight.Could any damage be done to the engine?Joe

Probably not, but in reality it's kind of hard to find an oil which doesn't meet it.

Which Castrol product are you using? 6k oci on their conventional in that engine might be a bit much.

The Chrysler spec isn't hard to meet. Any API SN/GF-5 should be superior to the spec.

Almost every car companies have their own oil spec's, except some Japanese companies such as Honda, Toyota ... Even Honda has its own oil spec for Acura RDX.

Oil companies have to test their products for complying to many different spec's and that only increase the price of the products.
