Since you're here . Which oil and weight are you using in your FIT ? Plus , what oil filter make ?

They're good for slush and hardpack, but are not that exceptional in pushing through deep snow. If you drive on freshly plowed main roads, they'll suit you well. If you find yourself driving on sidestreets or through blizzards, they're only mediocre.

The Hakkapeliitta R and RSi are their premium winter tires.

For clearing deep snow and especially ice traction, the Blizzak WS60/70 or X-Ice1/2 are what you want.

DParm is right on. For my climate (no snow, except maybe once a year, and trips to the mountains...), they are perfect, and I have the WR G2s on both the Volvo XC and the Mercedes 300E.

Good wear on the 300E, the XC eats tires, and they are holding up about as well as the Yokohama TRZs that preceded them.

Great grip in the snow/ice/slush, maybe a bit short of the Hakapelliittas and Blizzaks that I've previously owned, but much better than any other all season tire.

No adverse impact on economy, smooth ride, low noise - the best all season tire I've ever had...

I have to disagree with dparm a bit. I have Nokian WR (the older design, not G2) on my Axiom, and I plowed thru 12" of fresh snow with these tires on occasion (having 4WD and LSD helped, for sure). They are quite, good grip year around, did not notice any gas penalty as compared to stock GY Integrity (worst tire in existence).

I had them and no effect on fuel mileage. If I recall they are eco tires and have low rolling resistance.

Beyond great winter traction, they were astounding in wet, decent in dry and quiet.

I really cannot give any negative on the tire with one exception, they are pricey and unfortunately not lots of sellers so prices stay up.

Highly recommended.

We've found these at 2 HONDA dealers . Maybe your local dealer(s) will have them in stock or order them for you .

I had a set of WR-G2's on a Taurus. At first, they were quiet and smooth. Once winter came, the deep snow/slush traction was not as good as a dedicated winter tire, albeit better than the all-seasons they replaced. The traction control kicked in a little more than was comfortable. After 12000 miles they started to get noisy, as in howling noisy going down the road. They only lasted 30000 miles before the "4" in the center rib wore away. Because of the noise, I couldn't get them off fast enough.

I wouldn't buy them again. YMMV
