No, pot doesn't make you stupid.....

Flush another life down the eternal tube of under achievement for lack of vision beyond his bubble of existence.

Two words describe this sort of thing nicely: "new client".

What do you think, ek, if the kid's parents have enough cash to pay for good coaching ..and can get a senior or respected member of the county bar association ..instead of someone who will give them a "turn your head and cough" limp wrist defense (cop a plea to a lessor charge - except in an election year) ..and his family appears to be "good people" ..do you think ARD (advance rehabilitation disposition) is a possibility here? That's assuming that the victim isn't too piece'd about it and needs a pound of flesh???

That is, now that the kid has finally figure out what happens when you bump the walls, when he merely never stumbled in that direction before, is there redemption for him?

Are you trying to tell me there are courier drivers not stoned to begin with, nevermind ones that wouldn't recognize being stoned?

No [censored] way.

A UPS delivery driver here in town had a kilo of cocaine shipped from California. He used the address of an unoccupied building at the local army post that was on his route. DEA tracked the package from Calif. to here and nabbed the driver as he was handing it of to an accomplice. Oxygen thief.

What he did was not doubt stupid. People will always do stupid things, regardless of any vice. Prison? LOL. We have too many in prison for these types of crimes or offenses. Our prisons are overloaded.

No, he'll just be fodder for the machinery in fines and clerical time. He's really blown any chance at a decent life. Even if he gets some dispensation in the form of ARD he's marked for life and there's, in most cases, no coming out of it.

He just shut himself out of so much that he had access to the day before. He didn't have a clue of the booby trap that he just sprung.

Why waste good dope on stupid co-workers? LOL.

"Throw him in prison!" Another good waste of US taxpayer dollars. Stupid, yes. Imprisonable offense, absolutely not.

I would rather be the victim's lawyer. In either case his [censored] is "grass" (so to speak)

This thread is stupid. Let's see how many people die this w/e from pot vs alcohol and discuss that. LOL

What? He purposely poisoned people. Go back to your bong.

I'm not super opposed to legalizing pot, but this "stunt" should indeed land him in jail. A stoner will do stupid things to other people, so I'm not buying this "it's harmless to others" junk.

Well, I see a naive kid who didn't see the extended implications of his "prank". I doubt that he's "evil". What's going to occur is not punishment ..but eternal punishing of this kid. Some say 'serves him right' ..some just want him to pay for his lack of vision, repair what is damaged, and move on in awareness of a lesson learned.

I agree he needs punishment of some sort is required here, but people do this [censored] when not smoking pot. You can't just take this isolated incidents and conclude pot is the problem.

Like I said, I guarantee you that no one will DIE from pot this w/e but many will from alcohol.

This guy by chance must have been allergic to pot to put him in the hospital. It's practically impossible to overdose on pot from what I have read.

I don't advocate smoking pot or doing any drug, but I think we often have the wrong ideas about some of these things and penalties associated with them. Pot heads can surely be annoying and retarded.

Do you realize how many kids to stupid pranks like this just from being TEENAGERS? I think a little perspective is needed here.

Wrong Buster- how many friends have you had that ended up hooked on coke, meth, pain killers etc? I guarandamtee you they started out on pot. I have a very addictive personality and have abstained from smoking weed my entire life because I know that I would eventually start looking for a better high. So while many more people will die this weekend from alcohol related accidents and alcohol poisoning, many lives will be wrecked because they just took a couple of tokes today. It won't happen for maybe a couple of years but pot is the onroad to the road that goes straight downhill.

As much as I want to feel sorry for him, I don't. If he did it to me, I would forgive him. I don't think he is evil, just stupid and pot makes stupid people even more stupid. Should he be allowed to breed? Not on my panel of buttons.

..and there is the problem. Addictive physiologies. I don't drink (not that I'm against it) and I don't do any drugs. Pain killers typically rot on my shelf if prescribed. Now have I smoked pot in the past as a 20something? Yes ..I sure did. In my social circles (which spanned from working class to above upper middle class) you had to be some social misfit if you didn't (perhaps "social oddity" would be more accurate a description). This was before the war on drugs.

For some, addiction will take whatever form that is available/accessible to the addictive person. That's why I see so many j-o's that have no business being involved in a "drug culture" doing drugs. An alcoholic is no less an addict than any other. His/her struggle to "keep clean" is just as demanding.

You're going to struggle with any altering agent within your reach. Your success isn't going to be due to its legality or illegality. It will always depend on your discipline to not use the agent in question.
