Some Walmarts aren't that great.

+1; Like the one near me. It is a reduced size store because the town indicated if they wanted a store, they would have to use existing empty commercial property.

Consequently, they can stock a book to look up supertech cabin filters, but no actual supertech cabin air filters are stocked there. lol

Plenty of 0W-40 M1; Castrol is not stocked there at all IIRC

Just got some M1 0W-40 this afternoon. There was about 3 on the shelf, the entire M1 section looked a little low. That might be the reason for the 'roll-back', clearinghouse on the old stock, and getting the updated oil on the shelf.

There is an updated M1 0W-40?

The new ‘SP’ rated oils are coming out to replace the previous rated oils. So a the ‘updated’ 0w40 should be on the shelves soon. I put it in quotation marks because I don’t believe the oil is much different, just has a never certification.

Tons at the Bellevue WA wallyworld, but never see Edge 0w40 here anymore, but that’s fine M1 is a-ok for my old Benz

On a similar note, my local Walmart no longer has M1 High Mileage oils. They have the High Mileage Extended Performance oil, but not the original High Mileage. That's a problem for me because they don't offer a 10w-30 in the HM / EP line. I prefer the 10w-30 HM in my OPE as well as the Volvo in my signature.

Why then there was no M1 0w40 SN+?
I think these euro oils are in no rush to follow the update API standerds.

I saw 2 containers while at my local WM this morning.

My local Walmart stocks M1 0W40 in the 5 qt jugs and, this surprised me - also in the 12 qt box. It's that popular?

I've also noticed that many of the local Walmart stores no longer keep regular inventory of M1 0W-40 European Car Formula. I've considered switching to Castrol 0W-40, but my cars have performed so well on the M1 that I hate to mess with a good thing. Even my lawn mower and snow blower seem to run better on 0W-40 than on 5W-30. So for now, I just pick up a jug of the M1 0W-40 when I can find it.
