The current generation is in its 6th model year and I haven’t heard or seen anything about the next generation. We all know Kia and Hyundai like to redesign their cars every six months or so, but not the Soul. I came upon a youtube video and the person stated the last Soul’s departed the factory in December. If this is true, it’s another affordable car that will be not sold anymore in the US and Canada.

Ahhhh....end of the "Hamster Mobile". I loved those commercials.
At the rate that KIA is selling the K4, and ending the Forte, they most likely want to simplify their lineup.
Translation: SUVs only.
Wonder if they are cutting the Rio? Overall, the 2014 has been a good car if you take away the ring issues causing oil blow by like myself and Mexican food.

2023 was the last year the Forye gt offered a manual transmission. I think auto only. Hyundai has the elantra N which I think has a high take rate

I just looked it up. They said they stopped due to declining sales in sedans and more focus on SUV's. There seems to be rumor of it being replaced by the K3, but, that's just wikipedia for ya.

I actually got excited when they finally gave the Kia Soul a turbocharged engine for a limited time. Unfortunately AWD never happened.
The Toyota ScionB and Honda Element went away a few years back.
The Soul struck me as a "survivor" whenever I saw one.
Q: Wasn't the development of a 'factory add-on customization' accessory catalog the point of the ScionB?
Someone crafted "Hami" applique's for the Soul using a Mopar "Hemi" typeface. It made me laugh.

K4 is quite nice for what it is, and it's only $1k-$3k more than the Soul. So seems like while older people snatch up the last Souls (easier on joints to get in/out), the younger generation is getting all the K4 with sportier handling and sleeker aesthetics.
Plus there is Kona and Seltos to carry on the tall hatchback crown, and they offer AWD.
