Surviving I might be able to get my head around. But for him to be concious, and apparently completely alert, and to WALK INTO the ER, and to suffer no lasting damage.... A miracle if ever I've heard of one.
You know this kind of thing is not particularly uncommon as far as miraculous stuff goes. The brain is funny about this kind of trauma, sometimes it just hits a memory sector or some obscure motor section and sometimes it hits an apparently unused portion. There's been guys who had all kind of stuff through the head with little or no effect. I gotta admit, it's pretty wild though.
Now there's an Excedrin headache if I've ever seen one. . .
