No 2EH vs No 2EHA

The A? :)

RayoChem website:

"No 2EH" means "no 2-ethylhexanoic acid," which is a type of organic acid often used as a corrosion inhibitor in coolants, while "No 2EHA" means "no 2-ethylhexanoic acid" - essentially the same thing, but "2EHA" is the full chemical name, including the "A" for "acid"; the key difference is that "No 2EH" is commonly used to indicate a coolant specifically designed to avoid damaging silicone components in an engine by not containing 2-ethylhexanoic acid, which can degrade certain seals and hoses when present.

OK, thanks for that ^ info. I appeciate it.

I ordered (from Amazon) two jugs of Peak Titanium concentate for a flush and refill because several BITOG members recommened several various non 2EHA Peak coolants for my 97 Buick Park Ave.

I called Peak tech support and the guy recommended Peak Titanium. I asked what about Peak Global Lifetime. He said Titanium would be better for my car. I asked why. He said Titanium would give me more corrosion protection than Global would. He did not explain why.

My curiosity is still high.

What is the difference between Peak Global Lifetime vs Peak Titanium? Is one better than the other for a 97 Buick, or does it not matter which is used?

Amazon is a bad way to get coolant, prepare to receive bottles that have broke apart or will be leaking. I don't know why they allow toxic chemicals like coolant to be shipped without proper packaging that will keep the container from damage. Cancel that order if you can.

I will make this very easy for you. Go to Napa and just get 1EXT. That is all you need and it's on the monthly special at the moment. If you want to go all out, get Peak Global Lifetime, again from Napa. No need to full flush the system, just drain and refill. You can leave either in there indefinitely and never bother with a change again.
