I just bought a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Interestingly, their maintenance schedule is oil and filter at 7500 mi only for highway driving. Everything else is 3750 miles. When manufacturers are increasing OCI's this seems regressive.

That is close to the standard oil change schedule I have seen from
most manufacturers. I don't see what is regressive about it.
Congrats on your new Nissan, my wife's Quest has been an excellent vehicle! We are about to roll 100k miles and very few problems.

Nissan has spec'd that for 20yrs. Congrats on the new ride. My in-laws leased one last fall. I've driven it a few times and find it to be a nice vehicle. The AWD is awesome in the snow and I found the vehicle to be well suited for the CVT.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks 3750 severe/7500 not-severe is a bit short these days.

Then again, that makes for an easy to remember 5000 mile OCI.

No OLM on vehicle. I had figured in a newer vehicle 5000 mi changes would be OK. 3750 seems short for anything other than highway particularly given better oil quality these days.
