ok, I'll be the 1st to say it...
FRAM OIL FILTERS!

seriously, this is a cool project, but it ISN'T a lamborghini; it's a well built kit car. it's closer to a pantera than a lambo.

He did a really nice job on that car. And I will be the first to say, nothing wrong with FRAM oil filters.

Did an excellent job on the car, but I still have a problem with the whole idea of building the car in the basement, and then partially demolishing the house to get it out.

For the amount of money he spent excavating, tearing out the wall, and then patching it up again, he could have just built a garage if he didn't have one. Seems silly to me.

Of course, I guess he did it just to be able to say, 'I built this in my basement'.

:P

It's not a kit car since it didn't come from a kit.

not to take anything away from the guys skills, it's still a home built car; it's not a lambo; he would need to register it as a home built car (or whatever his state decides to classify it as)to get a VIN.

It's an absolutely awesome achievement IMO, and I would love to have the skills and determination to do even a fraction as well.

Yes, it's not a Lambo, it is essentially an exotic hot rod, but a very fine one.

It is a long read but worth it.

spent the arvo on and off on the link, and that bloke's a genious.

Will be interested in seeing how it rusts/cracks through use, but the feat is pyramid like.

I did kinda wonder why he didn't just have a garage door installed and a paved ramp instead of the reblocking up of the wall.

Unless he's got another "ship in a bottle" to build.

He built a Pantera in Lambo clothing.

Sure must sound funny with American muscle power. Looks good with the Webers but I would have opted for the FI setup they have run by a F.A.S.T. unit. Had to be cheaper than a Lambo engine.

It won't sound like your everyday V8 with those 180 degree headers.
