NGK Spark Plugs

My wifes car seems to be idleing a little rough it just turned 13000 mi.. I pulled out the plugs to find NGK Platinum PGR5C-11 instead of PGR5A-11.They looked fine though I just wondered if these were cold plugs. The dealer and 1/2 dozen parts stores couldnt tell me anything (as usual) they went on to tell me the NGK which I use exclusivly were between $10-13$.The Champion which they carry were a lot less.I can order the NGK for triple the price of Bosch AC or Champion.Or do I do the unheard of and take it to the dealer.

Are these the stock plugs at 13,000 ? Why do you think they should be the other model ? Were they changed already ?

I looked at the plugs on a toyota Camry that I have begun to take care of. Those specified plugs are a $13 NGK, also. On there, from her previous work at a professional independent shop, were Denso. They are also a multiple electrode plug, at about $7. I will plan to use those next time.

I will not go to a single electrode ordinary plug, Autolite, Champion, etc. The Autolite plugs listed are the same model I just installed in my Jeep -- 2 for $1.99 at WalMart.

Yes there the stock plugs that came with the car.Here is what one site had.http://www.replacementautoparts.com/hy_2003_son-4cyl-004_f_S162-953_6.html Where it says can also use makes me think perhaps they are for emmisions in California or something. The owners manual says use PGR5A-11.Perhaps one of the mechanics can tell me.I just changed the oil to GC with a Pure one filter. That couldn't be why it idles rough.I may be expecting to much but it used to idle much smoother.

check the hood sticker. if it has one that is.
