I want new spark plug wires for my Mitsu Montero. I found NGK plug wires for $37 plus shipping which is about 1/2 the OEM price. Has anyone used these? They sound pretty good. NGK Spark Plug Wires

NGK wires, IMHO, are every bit as good as their spark plugs. Heck, quite a few Japanese vehicles come with NGK wires as OEM.
Had a set on my Nissan truck a few years back and if it were not for the fact that I custom assemble my wires now, I'd more than likely still use the NGKs.

I'm using NGK blue wires 8mm on my B6 block right now and it's been serving me well since the past 5 yrs.
I have been using NGK wires for racing (SCCA stock "D" class, with a Suzuki 3-banger) and it was downright fun!!!!!!!

Thanks for the responses. I think NGK is a good brand, but I just wanted to hear some feedback.
as stated NGK is OEM for many cars and they are MUCH better than any crap at an auto store and probably as good as many "performance" wires.
NGK v-grove spark plugs are also great and sold as OEM in many cars. they always come out looking good in my car.
my set of NGK wires has been on for 80k + miles and still look too good to replace.

Are you sure you're not confusing NGK's "V-Power" center electrode with Denso's "U-Groove" ground electrode.
Then there's G-Power, Laser Platinum, Iridium IX, Iridium Power, etc.
I agree that NGK plugs are good, but their wires have been lacking in quality as of late.
I've found them to be just as crappy as the in-house Advance Auto Parts or Autozone brands. I bought a new set of NGK's for my sisters car and I went to change the plugs 20k miles later and one of the wires metal tabs stuck to the plug when I removed the wire. I held the boot, like you are supposed to, and the boot seperated from the insulation & metal clip

Any quality wire shouldn't do this after 20k miles. I haven't bought NGK since. I find Accels to be of great quality along with Moroso. Bosch's aren't that great..too narrow & have lots of resistance out-of-the-box.

I bought a set of MSD 8.5mm super conductor wires for my truck and I've not been more impressed with any other wire. they were significantly better constructed than the AC Delco 8mm stock replacements I had before. I had a set of Accel universals long ago and wasn't impressed with them, maybe their ready made sets are better.-Bret
I am currently using the Accel SuperStock Spiral Core wires on my Nissan and have been very impressed with them, much better than the Bosches they replaced.
The thing I like about the Accels is that you can make them to the exact length that you want. I like this as aftermarket wires tend to usually be a tad longer than I like. Plus, if you use their "300" crimping tool like I do, the terminal crimps come out looking factory made.
One more thing, they are much lower in resistance than any store brand wires I have yet found.
