Hello and how many people here use the maxlife nexgen? Just curious as I wondered if a lot of people use it over the regular nexgen. Thought it could'nt hurt to ask, so let me hear your thoughts, and opinions.

I am using MaxLife NxtGen. Although, my van has over 106k miles and it was (until I started using High Mileage oil) losing a little oil each change.

I picked up some jugs of the regular 10w30 nexgen when they were on sale at Walmart. Cold starts seem better than the Mobil 5000 I had in there before. The recent VOA posted look good as well.

Not worth the extra money in my opinion, motor oil is expensive enough as it is. There are better choices for roughly the same price as the Maxlife.

You can still get the Valvoline Durablend, least in my area at the AUTOZONE that is closing. Dusty and dirty bottles in all grades. Havent seen Durablend in ages also.

GO PENGUINS!!

I'm using Nextgen Maxlife in my Jeep 4.0L right now. It's seemed to stop the seepage that I had from my rear main. I was running the regular Nextgen since it came out. Since the Maxlife version stoped the seepage I'm going to keep using it. I also like the VOA of the Maxlife compared to the regular version:

Regular Nextgen VOA thread:

Valvoline Nextgen 10w30 API SN

Nextgen Maxlife VOA thread:

Valvoline MaxLife NextGen 5w30 SN/GF-5

I would grab the nexgen first at the same price, technically it is more pure than regular max life because it has been refined once used and refined again.

That and why not support a good thing if the price is the same.

I know some folks around my area that use it, but hate that the only place they can get the MAXLIFE NEXGEN is at AUTOZONE. The 3 wal marts around me seem to not stock much of it at all or it sells quick

my formula for Vlv Durablend:
3qts conventional, 1 qt synpower = durablend.

Nexgen Maxlife is $10 more at AZ and $15 more at o'reillys. I don't care about price matching. I shouldn't have to.. it's a hassle and tome embarassing.
I'm using Nexgen Maxlife in my 92 Taurus. dunno if it's good or bad right now, only have 500miles on it so far.

Using NexGen Maxlife in my Saturn. My local Walmart carries it, but I usually just grab a jug and filter when Autzone has one of their oil change sales.
