Newer BMW M3 batteries cost $1900?

I am Jack's complete surprise & shock.
BMW gouging their customers?
Still better than swapping a Tesla battery but still ..........

Maybe, but can the car properly charge an AGM?
If it can't be coded to out of the box I'm sure there is a workaround. Most likely the module that handles battery management has provisions for every car it's installed in.

My Touareg is coded for Cayenne shift programming. Same concept. Took 5 minutes.

When you take the purchase price of a newer M3 in perspective, the battery cost is perfectly acceptable.
Especially when you consider the cost of most maintenance on these cars
🤷‍♂️

Now if you told me that's the cost of a battery on a late model Honda Civic, well then yes, that would be worth noting.
But as it stands, this is nothing worth getting excited over.
😐

This post exemplifies why auto manufacturers can get away with charging these kind of ridiculously insane prices for common items. That have absolutely nothing to do with the cost of the vehicle itself.

Here is an exact fit, OEM equivalent replacement battery for a 2018 M3 from Autozone..... Over 86% LESS.

Think it'll be a while before one needs replaced. The 3rd or 4th owner will probably just opt for an AGM.

I don't see a single Lithium battery there.
You're like a few women I know. They don't know what the hell they want either. They just want to argue.

Wrong generation of car.

The current M3/4 use a Lithium battery. Have replaced a couple because our lot guys forget to put the solar powered maintainers on cars.

Prove it!
Here ya' go, $660.00 to $950.00. Take your pick.
