New WIX 51348 Cut Open

On the cutter this evening is a new WIX 51348. I got a shipment in of PG241s and honestly have no urge to run this filter. I would much rather see what it looks like.

Filter has some black glue, as many of the WIX filters from the last several years have had. Pictures below.

And what if you have a bypass event? Now you've got glue chunks flying through your oil pump and headed who knows where.
I am most certain 100% this has happened to me and every motorist on the road it would not be the failure as you want to believe it to be
 
The main gallery feeds the entire oiling system.

The same junk glue used on Motorcraft filters have been found in drain pans, so it can get past the filter through the bypass valve and sent through the oiling system.
