New to us Escape.

Well we found a 2014 Escape SE 1.6 Eco. Thanks to this forum, I checked out oil specs.
Book says 5W20, 4.3 quarts. Since it is boosted which oil would be best for short tripping?

I do have a nice supply of 0W20 from AZ clearance.
Castrol Magnatec and Mobil 1 Extended Performance.

Castrol EDGE is on the radar.
What do you experts think?

I'll wait for a real expert to chime in, but my mom drives an ecoboost Taurus. No real special oil needed, although I put in some Supertech synthetic that I had on the shelf with a Motorcraft oil filter. I haven't seen any real data that says a super expensive oil is needed. Put in what the operator's manual states.

Highest HTHS you can locate withing the prescribed range ... Turbos are heat makers

Why not go with the Ford Motorcraft oil? I mean, it seems cheaper at Walmart. I don't think putting in 0w20 may do it harm.
