I recently bought a 99 Int 2674 dump truck. Found a hyd filter leaking. After replacing the filter, what hyd oil should I use ? Have no way of knowing what previous owner used. It was a Union Pacific Railroad vehicle, if that makes any diff. Not sure on hyd capacity, or cost to drain and fill. Would it be best to change it ? Main thing is, I dont want to add an oil that is not compatible with whats in it.

Usually just simple dump bodies use ISO32 low grade hyd fluid. With leaks boost it up to ISO46 or 68.

Such as what Sams Club has ? They list a Hyd AW - 46 Motor Oil. Not sure whay the description has Hyd AND Motor oil in it. ?

Its a hydraulic and tractor oil. A (or many) tractors share the hydraulic oil for the transmission (gears) and hydraulics. NAPA has it so does TSC.

Your cheapest option is a plain hydraulic fluid. which is what most (if not all) use. AW just stands for anti-wear. and then it list the ISO grade (weight) of the hydraulic oil. as posted before iso 32, iso 46, and iso 68 are the most common. to my knowledge there wont be a compatibility issues. kinda like mixing motor oil brands and weights. just different additive packages. If you can't find any plain hyd fluid, you can use a universal trans/hydraulic fluid though it will be more expensive. It just has a different additive package cuz tractors have a common sump for the power steering, trans, and hydraulic system.
