I have an '05 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I'm running Mobil 1 5w20t or 5-30wt when 5-20 isn't available w/Napa Gold filter I'm seeing high Cu ppm. UOA My question is whether a brand change of oil be beneficial to curb the high wear? Recommendations?
Thanks!

from the 2 reports it looks like hemi's throw copper high what is in the motor that is brass or copper? most likley normal. iron is low so is aluminium I would not worry.

to BITOG. I would agree with Bruce on this. He knows what he's talking about. Nothing wrong with either of those Mobil 1 products.

C'mon.... really..... tell us the truth;

Anybody ever really shout out, "You gotta' hemi in that thing?"

I need a hemi, then.

Only way I can get wimmen', being a chubby old coot.

Gotta' get 'em when they are passed out.

I got one too. But I use 5W-20 cheveron or pennzoil in mine. For a 5K OCI I cant bear to use a syn. I think that the HEMI spits copper due to it being a pushrod engine. But it sure is a tough motor.

yeah it can get pretty pricey for those 3&5k oci to use a synthetic. I'm hoping to get to 10k oci but it's a $40 oc

w/7qt and a decent filter.
