I knew I was going to need tires on the Mustang fairly soon. I got 22K out of the original Pirelli P-Zeros, got a good deal with a rebate to replace with the same ones. Now I am at 45K miles and when I had the car up on jackstands to do an oil change and probably last oil change, I saw one of the tires was down to 1/32 on the inside. I really wanted Michelin Pilot Super Sport but couldn't pass up the price on the Pirellis with a $140 rebate. Hope I get another 22-23K out of this set.

I believe this is what came on my Charger from the factory as well. They seem decent, but I havent really been pushing them to their limits.

It is on the lift now. This would have been a good time to bring the Amsoil gear oil The Critic sent me and change out the manual trans fluid, but alas those are in my garage at home.

Haha don't get excited. I meant that would be the last oil change these tires would be on for. Maybe get one more rotation out of them is what I meant, but one of them had enough of almost a bald strip that I didn't want to drive on them with the "rainy" season coming.

I just registered them and 3 had a build date of 2818 and one had 1218.

Nah, if anything I will be adding a truck to the fleet. I need to get motivated and get the engine built on the 95, then rebuild the diff, buy a TKO-600RR, and get all the Maximum Motorsports goodies on it. I decided to give up trying to keep it street legal so the truck will be needed to tow it.

So the tires themselves were $181ea. I don't have the final bill, just gave my Ford card to the cashier and told them to get it back to me before the end of the day.

$1019.32 was the final bill. That did include me billing the 9 quarts of Motorcraft 5W50 and a FL-500S so I have a record of it being done.

Part of me really wants you to buy a Chevy Silverado so you can be that guy that works at a Ford dealer that drives a Chevy. Sorry, I had to say it

I wouldn't mind one, not a new one. I actually have been looking at 05-07 F250-350s with the 6.0 diesel. I know everyone hates on the 6.0, but I have worked with them long enough that I know what to do to one to make it last and be reliable.

What does the Track Pack have that requires 5W50 instead of the 5W20 that non-TP cars specify?

The Track Pack has an oil cooler and the BOSS302 radiator which adds a significant amount of volume to the cooling system. The Track Pack cars does not go into limp mode when the oil temp rises like non Track Pack cars.
