Clearly you don't understand the significance of how synthetic products will save the planet, and all mechanical equipment, from certain doom. Dino fluids are evil, wicked, nasty old-skool products that have no place in society any more.

Come on; how many used oil analysis do you have to see to understand that "moderate" use and "normal" maintenance plans show the distinction between dino's and syn's. Cheesy-rice, don't you want to spend 4x more money for the same UOA results? Don't you NEED a pour-point of -50 degF (or better) for your motorcycle engine, when dropping past 32 degF creates a significant precipital environmental shift (snow/ice) reducing tire adhesion? Surely you understand that your ride is so significantly different from all other modes of transportation that ONLY PAO/Esters will rip them from the grasp of the abysmal twins, Heat and Friction.

I mean, really, only group IV and V lubes will make your bike last past the inevitible death rate of (the current industry average annual mileage) of 2.3k miles per owner per year. Those (like me) that ride about 10k miles, or more, a year are on borrowed time anyway.

My suggestion? Run $10/qrt motorcycle-only PAO, along with a "motorcycle" brand filter for another $15, with a 2.5k mile OCI. Nothing else will do ...

actually i'm so far ahead of the curve im on the straight!

i'm using PolyOlyOlsonFree group VIII oil in my bike. it actually cleans the motor to better than new. adds ozone back. cools the planet. produces 1.5 feet of new glacier a month AND has supermodel chicks paying to be seen with me.

it's a tough job, but i'm willing to be the one.

There's nothing wrong with Delo, Delvac, or Rotella conventional oil heck no, great great oil!!,but a 10w40 i cant see holding up in a bike with a shared sump(gears)that see's any type rpms.

so my race got rained out. imagine that. gives me a chance to see if this new oil is in stock at Walmart tomorrow.

amsoil would be able to publish their always winning tests.

btw, stopped at Walmart. none of this new oil to be found.

supertech 15w40 was 8.50/gal, srt was 11.00 and the other hdeo losers to st were 13ish.

the 2gal of st was 17.00 and the single gal of m1 was 22.00
hmmmm, half as much for 1/4th more cost that offers not as good results......what a bargin!

I was at Walmart yesterday. Actually two of them. They always seem to have everything EXCEPT what you need. Neither of them had that new oil.

TWO gallon jug of ST? We don't have those around here.

So when are you going to try some of that 20W-50 ST? I have a couple old EVO bikes that get a fair amount of fuel dilution so they get changed regularly. Might be a good shoice for them.

I haven't seen the new Shell stuff yet either.

I bought the 5 remaining gallons of CI-4 Super Tech. All of the new stuff, in gallon and two gallon jugs, is CJ-4

I tried the Rotella Syn 5w40 in my race bike (atv).

I didn't think it held up very well.
One ride and I could tell it was shot.
I could tell it in the shifting of the trans.

It came out like water.

It must contain a lot of viscosity index improvers for a syn.

The 15w40 conventional stands up longer.


Is it possible I got a bad bottle of 5w40?
Everyone else seems to like it.

Rotella 5W-40 has had shearing issues in the past. This new T6 formula should fix much of that.
