New most helpful quote on how to be a millionaire/ billionaire

But you’re right, the fact that they are on a forum would take away from time where they could be making or breaking little worms every day, to their own gain.
Many people are born to idiots and live in a social circle that doesn't give them the best opportunities.

I bumped into my cousin at an old money retreat and got a job tip that pays much better than my old one. The guys at my old job were looking at relatively crappy other jobs because that's all their circle knew.

Someone somewhere got a hot tip, if not a life-changing tip, off this forum, so it's not a complete waste of time.

Some people just hustle as a hobby. If they do all their own house handyman work and car mechanics, that's $150 an hour they aren't paying someone else... and it's tax free!

I grew up without internet, and my first car repairs needed info from a paper manual. My resources have gotten better, as have I at stuff. Many people waste internet time watching TikTok while I'm watching Youtubers sand points in distributors. I'm hungrier for more compared to them.

I still want to know how Jeff Bezos who reportedly "Only makes $85,000 per year" was able to buy a $500 Million dollar yacht? Then add in dock fees in the Tens of thousands and according to boating experts you can on average calculate ten percent of the yacht price in additional upkeep per year so 50 million in Bezos' case.

That ones easy.
He talks business for 1 minute each time the ship is used.....complete business asset along with every dollar used in it's operation including entertainment, food, drink and more than you could imagine. Plus, it's either owned by Amazon but at his exclusive beck and call or it was bought with a loan, granted on the basis of stock option values. No income.....no taxes.

Well good point. After a certain amount of money and or stress it might be good to have a fiduciary advisor.

What are Schwab’s current fees?
The numbers are all in the link. There is much more to it than you might know. I've gotten all kinds of advice. I won't say tax advice, I promise. I can arrange an intro if you wish.

I see so many people that think they know about money, finance, etc. Personally, I realize I know only a little... There is so much out there.
Check out the Schwab Wealth Advisory.

You many not be ready for such a program now, but you can get started with other programs.
J, Thanks for mentioning that info. Certainly something I will check out. I have often wondered about the whole Schwab organization. I have also heard only good things about them so far.

My greatest job tip from my very own wife ended up placing me at a well paying steady job with good benefits and very fair retirement package from a job that I was able to stay with for 30 years.
Sounds like we had kind of similar paths.
Only thing is mine was derailed, reduced very much by health issues that led to much earlier retirement than I planned.
I actually was able to talk my HR and company Doctor out of the forced retirement and allowed to keep working for almost a year.
Then corporate demanded I be made to retire after full review of medical records exposed I was working with several physical ailments. I actually cost myself money doing it because in the year I kept showing up working, the corporation changed the retirement formula that wound up reducing the amount of my monthly retirement payments. Stuff happens.
Little by little, I am getting back to where I can do small repairs around the house once again and some minor predictive / preventive automobile jobs for myself. It can be frustrating when one is used to doing a lot , most things for one's self and then has to hire out some jobs you know how to do. I recently found out how great a resource You Tube can be for learning how to do certain jobs one may not have done before. I tell folks it is also a great thing to watch even if one is going to pay it done, because it can inform them on what jobs entail and why they can cost so much.
