Has anybody had this done yet?

Yes, it's been out for a while now. Happy about the lifetime warranty on the long-block. Got mine done last week for the Sportage. Haven't received the notice for the Santa Fe yet.

My 2017 Elantra had a brake booster recall the first week of ownership. A Tech at Hyundai Forums posted the recall before getting the letter. You may want to check it out for other people who have done the recall.

I got one the other week for my 15'. I bought mine used so warranty is up, but once I take it in they'll program the computer and extend the warranty to 10 years/120k miles.

curious why doesn't Hyundai include same year (2011-2014) Tuscons with the same (2.4L GDI) engines?

Could be the 2.4L is too much engine for the smaller CUV? . . . Hyundai's objective for the Tuscon may be not so much for performance, but for fuel economy and lower price. I'll admit that at Tuscon with a 2.4L could be fun to drive!

both my 2015 sonata and santafe sport were recalled. both have the 2.4 ddi enginr.
also extended my warranty. but I have not had any problems with them.

It is a nice car. Wife got it after test driving 3 or 4 different same size competitors. I pushed a little for RAV4 due to the quality but she liked the Tuscon and 100K waranty. The only thing I suggested was getting the 2.4L vs 2.0L. Fuel economy is very good. I think about 28mpg on extended freeway.
I don't like small engines. For me it has to be a good size v6 or a v8 but for a 4 cylinder car, it's not bad.
