New Honda CRF250F

Congrats on getting back in the saddle! It's a great feeling. Castrol oil will be fine. Fresh, clean oil during breakin is more important by tenfold then the brand. We all have opinions on our best oil based on individual experience but I've never heard of an engine failing when running any oil on this forum in all my years being here.

Thanks, Bonz. :)
It sure felt good!!
I'm extremely happy with my decision to get this bike. Like I said, I had some reservations about it, but all were put to rest on Saturday.
So looking forward to getting out again!

Also, I hear ya on oils. One can confuse themselves right into knots debating/thinking/reading about oils and differing opinions. To me, the Castrol checked all the boxes, and then some, so I decided to, without much hesitation, to go with it. I put on, for now, a K&N filter as it had next day delivery. Don't think I've ever come across a smaller oil filter in my life?

I went for my second ride on my new bike this past Monday and I am still feeling it today. Rode with 2 friends who are both Master Enduro riders and it was tough keeping up, especially on the tight single track/trail stuff they seem to love. Had to tell them I was pooched and asked if they minded if we went back to some more friendly trails, which wasn't a problem, thankfully. Still liking this bike and the more I get use to it, get in better riding shape, I really think I am going to like it a lot. Coming from Moto-X it is obviously different, but in all honesty, I don't think I could likely handle a modern Moto-X bike today? Some pics of some of my prior bikes.
