Well, the Harbor Freight stands are rated for twenty two tons, and the Snap-On for twelve, so for anything between 12 and 22 tons, if forced to choose only between the two, I would have to agree with you...I'd rather use the Harbor Freight jack stands than these overpriced Snap-On jack stands, which are also made in China, or CHN as Snap-On puts it hoping your dumb.

Regardless of the country of manufacture, I myself would choose the Snap-On stands...
