New Google Nexus 7 and 10 models

The updated Nexus 7 with 32GB of storage and HSPA+ cellular will cost $299 and can be operated on AT&T in the U.S. It will also be unlocked and on sale in the Google Play store.

The Nexus 10 by Samsung will be offered with 16GB of storage for $399 and 32GB of storage for $499 in the Google Play store. It will have the highest resolution of any tablet at 2560 x 1600 pixels for a 300-pixels-per-inch screen. It also offers a battery with nine hours of video playback.

Google described Android 4.2 in a blog that described its features on both Nexus tablets and phones.

The Nexus 10 has a dual-core A15 processor and two cameras1.5 megapixels in the rear-facing camera and 1.9 megapixels in the front camera.



$199 for the 16GB Nexus 7 model is a great deal on the bottom end of the market. Prices reduced today at Office Depot and some others.

Nice, the ipad 3 is only 264... Though the iphones are 326 so Ill bet the next ipad will go there or higher. Its good that this competition is driving better tech into tablets.

I wonder how much $$$ google subsidizes into these to sell them. The Samsung galaxy tab is about as pricey as an ipad IIRC.

The Nexus 7 is unlocked and pentaband so it will work on any GSM/hspa+ network in the world. I think he must have meant that it will work on Att not that it will only work on att.

Btw, I think the most amazing announcement was the $349 unlocked Nexus phone 4. This beast has more up to date specs than the Galaxy S3 (quad core with 2g ram) and Android 4.2. The only corner I can see that they cut is not having LTE. But its still pentaband 21mbps hspa so it should be plenty fast across more networks and countries than an LTE phone with limited hspa bands

Would you rather that it only works on one network? Because that's pretty much 99% of all other phones and tablets including unlocked ones since they typically don't have all the radio frquecies. For example, you have to buy separate versions of the Galaxy S3 to get 4g on T-Mobile vs ATT. The iPhone unlocked only gets ATT 4g. This nexus is fully functional across both networks.

And CDMA is an outlier technology everywhere in the world but the US.

I am using the LG Optimus G right now as we speak and I have to say its an absolute beast! Fastest phone I've ever used, no doubt. For anyone who does not know the Optimus G is basically the Nexus 4.
