I see that just about all your portable generators are coming with CO shutdowns. I don't run my gens in the house nor run them close to the house.
Do these shutdowns work the same as a low level shut down by grounding out your ignition coil? If I get a new gen I would leave as is but the first time
it a CO shutdown gives me problems I will disable. What next BBQ pits with CO shutdowns?

Whats next disable your low oil shutdown if it malfunctions?

yes people are stupid and dont check the oil.

yes people are stupid and run it in their garage with the door cracked.

As long as the sensor isnt overly troublesome its not an issue IMO.

If this was just a Gen Z rant.. I could join in ;)

And now 50 year old men.. destroying trucks.
I present The "Superduty Outlaw" (it says that on back window)

Feast your eyes upon this beast of a truck.. and yes those are lighted rings behind all 4 brake backing plates.
all windows including the front at 5% tint.

Sorry, old man yelling at clouds privilege doesn't kick in until age 65. When (if) I get to 70, I'm gonna drive slow on purpose just to annoy people, LOL. It's a God-given right of passage, just like puberty.

Oh I just meant I was offending myself with the truck comment. I wasnt 20 year old Gen Z throwing rocks lol. Which most could figure out unless I joined bitog at age 3

That's what happens when the nephsons get promoted to assistant manager and become nephmen. Been called a certain gay slur by a cab full of dudes driving trucks like these more than once while driving my Prius. The irony is not lost on me.

The way I look at it if you are too stupid to run a gen in or near a house you should not own a gen to begin with. Just like the guy who decided it
was a good idea to throw gasoline out of a gas container and then got burnt.

As far as a low oil shutdown if it malfunctions but at the correct level I would by pass it, I use gens pretty much on a monthly basis. Used them 10 days straight for a hurricane plus 3 to 5 days in between. Guess what I never had a low oil situation on my gens because I do check oil level before starting and every fuel up. What happened to common sense. Like I posted above ifyou don't know how to run a gen you should not own one. Maybe all cars should have breath analyzers just in case. A lot of people get killed by drunk drivers.

But does ot blow black smoke?o_O

More people died from CO poisoning recovering from the power outages during last years hurricane season than from the actual storms.
Bought a new home. Had to get the kitchen floor replaced. Guy shows up with a gas air compressor for his nail gun. Puts it in the kitchen. I'm like, your not going to run that in the house are you? he says yes, he'll open a window. I told him no way in my new house.

Are you for or against these mods to trucks?

Have you seen my avatar :)

I think mild ones are ok.. but fog bank exhaust with wheels sticking out 10" from fender throwing rocks.. and jacked up so high small cars would hit the axle before bumper.. should be policed.. they have actual rules here for all of that but they arent enforced.

Super dark blackouts where you cant see the tail lights are pretty annoying too.

Edit: also dislike jerks who have 10 led light bars and run them on the highway like they are driving lights.

Darwin Awards, not sure the half of them running charcoal grills in the house would be saved by a generator with co2 shutdown

Whats next

I have noted early 20’s doing this with the smoke machine switches traveling in groups

Ricing a Honda is Cheugy now so you need to move on to diesel pickups

one I noted traveling in a convoy had black lighting, spinning rims and a wing
Dude inside was wearing cut off daisy dukes and had tats all over his face
So you know the intelligence ran deep

I did, I was confused whether you were targeting a specific truck (say a buddies white Ford) , or style of mods.

I share many of your dislikes, but at 54 am aware my " old school" likes may not be cool with everyone and that trucks are an expression as much as they are functional at times.

Some times the stupidity is darwinian level, other times its a shade of gray where people think they are ok like a small genset too close to a window AC but it really needs a few feet more of clearance.

Being experienced I loath added complexity and failure points, but get this one even though I dont like it much.
