This video is worth watching for the education, refresher, reminder of the challenges of:

• quality of parts received
• warranty "war of attrition"
• putting trust in others
• false expectations of people/ organizations doing the right thing
• false expectations of people/ organizations dealing in good faith
• why it is so important to have a deep understanding of the risks associated with buying certain vehicles, and mitigating that risk

Long video, but I was deeply saddened to learn the absolute nightmare this independent shop went through trying to warranty a defective OEM replacement engine.

2) Buying a Stellantis car today might be universally risky...and that's sad.

Besides "letting someone else take the hit (full new vehicle price)", horror stories like this often make a good used vehicle 'the better buy'.

Actually, he is OK compared to others.
I think they are the ones who started all these short and long videos on TikTok and YT. I believe they had major success.
I mean, they are in the business of making money.

It sounds like he's like most people putting out Youtube videos in that the videos are much longer than they need to be. The Car Care Nut is another one. After watching a few of his videos which have been posted here, I won't waste anymore time watching another. He drones on and on, stretching the video out at least twice as long as they need to be.

I don’t really blame Stellantis for making this YouTuber jump through all sorts of hoops. I would imagine an Indy is in a totally different category than a licensed dealer would be, so the trust level is so much lower.
They want to protect their bottom line after all.

I believe Watch Wes Work complained about this, think it was his end of year video? basically he mentioned that the algorithms have changed and long videos are now in, or making the money for the content creator. So there has been a shift away from the 5-10 or 10-20 minute videos, due to the content creator trying to make a buck.

On the bright side, sometimes I'll put on a long one and go do something else--the shorter videos I need to pay closer attention to, the longer ones, the slow pacing means I can do something else, while waiting for something to happen.

I blame Stellantis. Its an out of warranty engine replacement (Cash $$$$$) and they ship a bad engine and dont want to warranty the bad replacement pentastar.

But this isnt a common scenario.

This isnt jed or jethro dropping in an engine in his cow barn.

These YouTube videos remind me of when I was a kid in school and the teacher wanted us to write a book report. She would want it a minimum of 5 pages long so I would suddenly start making my letters huge and double spacing each sentence. Stuffing a book report into 5 pages was a daunting task in Jr. High School but I must say that I learned how to "fake it until you make it" because of my English teacher.

I understand that there needs to be some verification for warranty work but this is ridiculous.
