It does look good, but they seem to have forgotten to use "spellcheck" when making the .pdf

This is on the up and up. good post(er) but the point is moot on 5w weights for the coming soon (march) summer months(march) for us down hure in the SS which will dictate 10ws predominantly 10ws but not to the exclusion of all others inevitably.

I think he thinks the "w" means "weight".
That said I am likely to run 10w30 in the warm months myself, since I don't need the cold cranking I'd rather have fewer VII's and PPD's.

The only advantage you get with the 10w30 is a tad better NOACK. That's it. And at 10%, that's already very good.
Pretty precise PDS though on some of the numbers- ex HT/HS 3.04.
Being i have a DI engine, I am most likely going to start draining the oil ever 5k miles using regular BB Castrol EDGE 5w30.

Hogwash. While 10w30 is perfectly acceptable year round in Texas, a 5w30, particularly one like this, is absolutely interchangeable. In fact, it's preferred under certain circumstances, if looking for A1/B1 (or A5/B5 under the last batches), dexos1, or your vehicle simply calls for a 5w30 and you wish to follow that.
Seasonal oil changes, particularly in gassers, are essentially obsolete. If you find 5w30 some form of compromise in your climate in the summer, 10w30 is as well, if one wishes to be picky. Why not a monograde 30, and then switch to something like 20w-20 or similarly antiquated in the winters there?

I'm still anxiously awaiting the explanation of how burning copious amounts of oil is indicative of cleaning. On the other hand, I'm still awaiting the error analysis for how changing oil brands increased fuel economy by a consumer measurable amount....
