I just put new drilled and slotted rotors and new pads on a G6. When I test drove the car it did fine until I stopped completely going forward it makes a clunk right when you almost get to the complete stop. It does not do this while applying it the rest of the time only when it is almost completely stopped. Is this a normal break in for slotted rotors or is something wrong? thanks!

I think it may have been a break in thing with the slots because it seemes to have gone away, i should have clarified it was more of a small click and I think it may have been the pads adjusting to the slots on the rotors, i checked all calipers and brackets all seemed tight and lubed everything good so I am hoping this is all it was.

There are proper brake pad bed in procedures that will markedly improve your brakes performance. So many folks miss this very simple final step with new brakes.

Seek the info out on the web. You will then have the best brake peformance.

Good Luck, Jim
