You do know that "Castrol Edge w/Syntec" is really the new Syntec?
The old Castrol Edge is now "Castrol EDGE with Titanium".

I doubt anyone will know yet as it just hit the shelves and anyone doing a used oil analysis this early would almost have to be all highway miles, which isn't a very tough test condition.
Off topic a bit for this thread on Edge w/ Syntec, but on the Edge w/ Titanium, did anyone ever find out if those kv40 and kv100 specs were correct after all? Where it showed them all to be quite a bit thicker and without near as impressive of a spread between them? This kind of worries me. If those specs are true after all I want to stock up and buy all of the old Edge, as that is some truly awesome stuff. I'm not so sold on Titanium either, if it just turns out to be, as some are saying, a cheap replacement for Moly. Granted, Edge never had a ton of it but I like my Moly. lol
I truly hope these new versions of the oil turn out to be as good or better than the old stuff. I'm sure on the Syntec side they will be better on non GC or BC formula's. But the old Edge is an amazing oil that I fell in love with on all our vehicles and the new kv specs (if accurate) are very disappointing on the kv40 side. Surely they can't be true. I hope.

I'm anxiously awaiting a new PDS sheet. The most current PDS on the Gold Bottle Edge is from 12/09. Seems there's no hurry to get it onto their site.
'Old' Syntec and Edge were VERY shear-stable. They were very thin in grade, so they didn't budge much at all. They started at 9.7 and 9.8 cst, and usually stayed above 9.2cst in service.
'New' Edge and Syntec and much, much thicker - 10.7 cst - so who knows if they will maintain that.
