Here's a look at the new BP 3323, equivalent to the popular 14610/7317 size. Posting in response to some recent speculation that Bosch may have recently changed manufacturer and/or coo of their US made spin on filters. As of February 6th, not.

AZ everyday price ~$7, so best purchased as part of an AZ oil/filter promotion. But as mentioned, main intent is to clear up recent speculation regarding it's current manufacturer and coo.
 
I'd expect months of production in the pipeline. So ideally report back in 6 months
 
Actually the speculation presented here recently has been for current production. So this is current as of this month, and thus presented as such.

And Mann&Hummel has been full owner of Purolator for almost a year now (Mar. 27,2013 according M&H site). And new Bosch BP shows no change in manufacturer. But feel free to update this thread in 6 months should that change. But as stated, currently no change.
 
99@20um matches Tough Guard efficiency and tops majority Wix/Napa Gold's and many other silicone adbv filters including some synthetics. I suppose one could lose sleep over it, but Beta 100 @ 20um not too shabby if you ask me.

Again though key point, contrary to hearsay recently, no change in manufacturer or coo.
 
Bosch's used to be very similar to Pureone's...is this still the case?
The letter 'F' means it was made in 2014....can you elaborate any further (so I can tell which of my Purolator's is oldest)?

Sure, the Puro date code has been posted but no problem decoding again.

'A' represents 2009. Tha was the first year for the then new gold P1 and Classic both with increased efficiency were introduced. Bosch has followed the same code, I suspect for uniformity and simplification reasons.
So
A=09
B=10
C=11 etc. etc.

As for BP still being a P1 clone, it was member river_rat's testing that indicated they were the same, and his testing has stood the test of comparison to ISO testing over time. Is the new one the same, I wish r_r was around to test the new one but that's not likely. If they aren't still exactly clones, they are darn close imo. And I'd bet the filter element and interior construction, much like the exterior, appears identical to the previous BP in the black box and P1. Since you asked, that's my take.
 
Cool... Just installed one of these on my '14 Odyssey last week. Amazon's price right now is $6.56 with free shipping (if your total order is $35+). It felt and looked like a well made filter. We'll see how it performs. Thanks for the pics!

I wouldn't worry about that ... it's only letting 900 more particles through for every 100,000 particles going in, compared to a PureOne (@ 99.9%). Doubt it's gonna blow-up a motor.

But I will be sure to post pics of the PL14610 I'm currently running to a 10%-15%MM oci/fci. Based on the results of last two I posted here and most recently here I fully expect to see nothing different ie., no issues. So dissection pics will be posted, but based on my personal results, torn pleat highly unlikely.

Golly gee I wish you would have, with all the recent speculation/hearsay (now proven inaccurate) posted implying a change in current Bosch manufacturer and coo, because then I wouldn't have gone through the effort. Which as clearly stated imo, is the purpose of this thread, not a dissection of an unused filter which is not something I make standard practice. Looking forward your new BP dissection pics in the near future, though I doubt they will show much if any change 'in construction' than the previous BP version, or current P1. Thanks for your support.

Look like Bosch has some type of contract with Purolator to manufacture the filters.

Since 06 until March of last year they (Bosch) was half owner of Purolator with Mann&Hummel. Bosch sold their half ownership to M&H, but obviously Purolator continues to make their US made spin on oil filters. Speculation but it's quite possible that part of the agreement is to continue make Bosch filters for some period of time.
