New Amsoil additive allows to come up to temp fast

What you say is true.

However it is things like this that I question:

COOLANT MIXTURE STABILIZED COOLANT TEMPERATURE
Straight Water 221°F
Water with Coolant Boost 202°F

Why would I want cooler coolant flowing through my heating system in the dead of winter when I need heat to stay warm and defrost windows? That is the point I'm trying to make. People who believe this product will benefit them should try it. I don't see how having cooler coolant temps is going to help me in the winter. That's all.

If it works as advertised it is simply facilitating the transfer of heat. That's all.

Does your car have a proper thermostat? End of problems.

The product should let the cylinder block transfer its heat to the fluid faster and then allow the fluid to transfer that heat to the radiator/heater core faster. No reason it should cause the car to run cooler if the cooling system is in good working condition.

I opted to try to RMI-25 since it is advertised as a cleaner too. Swapped in a used radiator that's a little grubby on the insid, I'll see if it cleans it up.

As long as the crud it loosened doesn't bake onto the hottest parts of the heads, OK.

If it does improve the heat transfer characteristic, it will do both. It'll transfer heat from the engine block to the water faster (decreasing warm-up time) and transfer heat from the water to the radiator faster (decreasing max temperature, assuming the thermostat is open).

No one answered this question. Whether or not this product works, I would like to have actual experiences reported. This won't happen if everyone is told to "save your money".

Newbie to BITOG here. I tried it. I have Amsoil antifreeze in my Astro. I thought it wouldn't hurt to add the coolant boost. I have noticed absolutely no difference this winter. No quicker warm up, and no reduction in cabin heat.
