Sang Yup Lee.

I was thinking he might be the modern day Larry Shinoda for GM....but Korean instead of Japanese-American.
But then he left GM for VW/Audi

Good job. I don't think that they could have made it much more generic even if they tried. Looks like they are trying to reduce drag. But what's with the monster fog lights housing on the corners?

I would like to see them line up the Jetta, Fusion, etc and see that there is not a much difference.

I think my new LG dishwasher is slightly more interesting.

Honestly if I was looking for a sub $30k car I would be all over a Ford Fusion, Focus, or a Cruz. Way more interesting.

I haven't driven the latest version but supposedly the Focus is a pretty nice handling little car.

I'm no fan of Toyota and don't see it being a better option in its segment than a Malibu or maybe even a Fusion, but I think the Camry is styled about how it should be. I think flashy styling in a 4-door family sedan like the Hyundai is just silly and pretender. Could it be styled a little differently and not be too flashy and pretentious as say the Sonata is? Yeah, and I'd say that's the Malibu and Fusion and a couple other sedans do. My point is a 4-door midsize value sedan should have understated styling. I think the Camry overall is what it should be.

As far as the Camry's driving dynamic being plain. I think that is overstated. There is an SE version offered with stiffer springs, dampers, bushings, more performance tires etc. I'd like to see a manual transmission version and a V6 SE version available in a 2-door with slightly more sporty styling. But that goes for most of the other models in this segment other than the Accord and I guess the Altima.

I can tell you it is. From direct experience. And I didn't even have the SE model. I could literally step out of my 2011 Camry and into a 2011 Fusion at work and the differences in driving dynamics aren't NEAR what they're made out to be. The Camry had better road feel, but the Fusion had better overall compliance. The Fusion also had better transitional handling, but overall limits were similar.

The interior looks somewhat outdated...it looks like the Previous gen Ford Fusion interior. The front of the car looks like a Ford Fusion and Subaru combined. It's definitely a "safe" design and I'm sure Toyota will sell boatloads of them to those looking for A to B transportation.

The steering wheel reminds me of the original Nintendo controller with the D pads.

Kia/Hyundai are leagues ahead IMHO in exterior styling and interior. I sincerely think the current gen Camry is nicer looking than this.

It is fine I suppose. Not unattractive but nothing about it makes it super handsome. I am sure it will run good and do what it was desinged to do very well.

If I had to get a new 4 door car I would rather have a new Regal I like that type of styling on those.

I prefer my gen 5 camry, at first I liked the look of the Gen 7 but have since decided it's not that great. It looks like a mazda/honda mixture to me.

I love the new Jetta/Passat look.

Definitely a more evolutionary change than revolutionary. Much better looking than the past. The appliance lives on.

Not a fan of the design to be honest, but then I quite like the current one as far as styling is concerned.

I think the Sonata has the best design in this segment, mostly because they've created that "in motion" impression with the body lines. Not sure if this makes sense, but the design looks more impressive on the road as the car is moving. Quite unique compared to other designs, although I agree it's not everyone's cup of tea.

The Sonata is quite impressive, but nothing in it's price range has ever gotten quite so much attention as the first time we had a new Kia Optima SX in the shop.

"That's a Kia?...It IS a Kia!"

Clients were getting out of their cars to check it out. They didn't do that with the Sonata.
