Neutra 131 has been worthwhile

I have been running the 131 in my Diesels as well as my gas burners and I am pleased very much with the results so far. Good stuff.

Good to hear you're getting good results. I use Neutra for winter storage of my motorhome to keep the fuel from degrading. Also have used it in the crankcase and as a fuel system cleaner.

Its too bad that this stuff is not available in small quantities. You have to purchase it by the case ($100+). I know about Schaeffer's outdated marketing model.

That is drawback, but then for some of us who have hoard of nearly 200 quarts of oil, a 4 gallon hoard of Neutra is not so bad.

I found a local distributor who sold me a 20 bottle case of the 12 ounce bottles for $40 even. Not bad at all. I use it in the gas and lawnmower. I don't know how well it does what it does but I love the smell.

In my case the way Schaeffer does business is fine. I buy most of my lube/additives in quantity and getting it dropped at my door instead of having to go run it down is most convenient. The Neutra works great in oil-hammer engines. I have noticed almost complete elimination of exhaust smoke except under the hardest pulling in my tractors. I thought I was the only one who thought it smelled good. My wife says I am nuts to think it smells good.

I have a co-worker who uses diluted original scent Lysol mixed with water as a folk remedy bug repellent. Every time I'm around him I think I've spilled Neutra somewhere.

I don't know about smells good. I guess it is a nice odor, but a but strong and if you ever get it on your hands, even the slightest amount, the smell will stay on your skin for a long time.

I have a local Schaeffer's distributor here that would most likely ship you any quantity of #131 you'd like. You wouldn't have to buy a whole case.

PM me for his contact info. I can't speak directly for him in regards to how much or how little he'd ship, and what it would cost, but I don't see why you couldn't work something out. I go there and buy #131 and my Schaeffer's oil by the bottle...Just as much as I need, when I need it.

Ive been even happier with the soy ultra gasoline additive from Schaeffer's. Give that a shot too for gassers, and their gasoline equivalent for diesels.
