Now THAT is precisely the oil that I want to get my hands on, but it isn't offered through normal channels here, and I don't know if I would want to trust something having to be shipped in from Singapore, if that site still even exists...

Hi Sprintman

I believe we're neighbours, I'm in Tuggeranong

I get it shipped from Neo Australia based in Sydney. Anthony there is a guy and really goes out of his way to help.

I have Neo 5w30 oil running in my 2004 Honda Accord presently. I have 6200 miles on oil (80K on car) and plan to run it out until about 13K or so, and take oil sample. Two things I have noticed with the oil thus far. 1) The car feels quite responsive. I have run 30 weight oils in the past and found less response, specifically with Castrol 0w30. 2) I have also noticed less oil consumption. I usually start adding some oil to the accord after a few thousand miles. I just added the first little bit at 6000 with the Neo oil. I am looking forward to oil analysis. I purchased this oil through Amazon and it was shipped directly from Neo Oil company in a few days time. Just type in Neo synthetic oil on Amazon and will take you to all of their products.

I take it this car is run pretty much highway miles? Wow, 13k miles first time running an oil w/o an analysis to verify is, shall we say, gutsy. I wish you the best & most definitely look forward to your UOA.

I have about 100 mile round trip commute everyday in stop and go traffic traveeling from york county pa to Baltimore, Maryland. I also work a part time job in the city so do some city driving during evening rush hour. I posted my last oil analysis on 5/31/2007 here on BITOG with a run of Motul e-tech lite ester based oil 0w30 for 12,200 miles. Blackstone suggested to go another 1500 miles. I thought was being conservative with neo cutting their recommendation in half lol. I have followed some of your previous posts and feel a kindred ester spirit with you.,

Ah, yes the 2.4L Honda engine. I had the 3L V6 in mind. Forget the previous comment. So, Neo recommends 25k mile OCIs?

Amazon says it ships from Superfastcarz (in WY?). Neo's distribution system is seriously lacking.

I did have contact with Superfastcarz, and they indicated the 5w30 oil would be shipped from the manufacturer. The return address on the case is Baker Performance in Signal Hill CA. I assume from your comment the six cylinder Honda stresses oil more.

Not that I think it stresses the oil more per se, it's just that the 2.4L 4 has a 5 quart capacity with 4 cylinders, the Honda V-6's also have a 5 quart capacity (MOST!), with 6 cylinders.

It's just a capacity thing.
